Position: IT Technician

Salary: From £12.21 per hour

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Work location: 28 Gibbons Street, Nottingham NG7 2SB

Your Role Will Include:

• Hardware & Repairs
• Preparing desktops, laptops, and servers for deployment or resale
• Dismantling machines and safely removing components (HDDs, SSDs, RAM, GPUs)
• Diagnosing hardware faults
• Replacing screens, drives, and faulty components
• Wiping and securely removing hard drives
• Refurbishing and testing IT equipment
• Server & Network Support (Basic Level)
• Supporting basic server and network switch tasks
• Checking server configurations
• Assisting with hardware upgrades and maintenance
• Installing and removing drives in servers
• Inventory & Logistics
• Preparing machines for sale
• Listing IT equipment on eBay (photos and descriptions)
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Loading/unloading IT equipment
• Organising and storing devices safely

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience in IT hardware repair and maintenance (preferred)
• Strong understanding of computer components and server hardware
• Basic knowledge of switches and server environments
• Ability to dismantle and rebuild IT equipment safely
• Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting/moving equipment)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Security Requirement:

• Enhanced DBS check required
• No criminal history
• Employment subject to satisfactory DBS clearance

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with refurbished IT equipment
• Knowledge of secure data wiping procedures
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments
• Experience listing and selling IT equipment online (eBay or similar)
