Position: Software Engineer, Front End (Accessibility)

Salary: £120 a day 

Job Type: Full-Time

Your Role Will Include:

  • Owning the accessibility roadmap (audit → remediation → automation → monitoring)
  • Delivering technical fixes and leading cross-team accessibility improvements
  • Partnering with Product, Design, Legal, and external audit providers
  • Embedding accessibility into CI flows and Design Systems
  • Running assistive tech user testing and applying insights
  • Designing AI-assisted tooling for scalable accessibility audits
  • Driving long-term frontend engineering capability growth

What We Are Looking For:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience (3+ at senior/lead level)
  • Strong frontend expertise (React, TypeScript)
  • Deep knowledge of WCAG standards
  • Experience with Storybook, axe-core/pa11y, Playwright/Cypress
  • Proven track record improving accessibility in large web applications
  • Experience integrating accessibility into CI pipelines
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Experience using LLM/AI tools for accessibility audits

Nice to Have:

  • Figma/design skills
  • Media/video accessibility experience (captions, audio descriptions, player controls)
  • Experience building accessibility teams or programs
