Your Role Will Include:
As a Personal Support Worker, you will:
- Provide tailored administrative support to a member of staff with sight loss
- Attend meetings and take accurate, detailed notes
- Read, summarise, and convert documents into accessible formats
- Assist with data entry and document management
- Use digital tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Travel between University sites to provide in-person support when required
- Work closely with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team
- Adapt working patterns to meet the needs of the colleague you support
What We’re Looking For:
- Five GCSEs (Grade C/Level 4 or above) including English and Maths, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Confident use of Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Willingness to undertake training to support individuals with sight loss
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and empathy
- Commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork
