Position: Telephone and Online Adviser

Salary: £31,600 per year 

Job Type: Fixed-term contract / Full-time

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid)

Your Role Will Include:

  • Provide legal advice and assistance via Shelter’s emergency helpline
  • Respond immediately and effectively to high-pressure situations
  • Liaise with third parties, local authorities, and review legal documentation
  • Work on a 6-week shift rota, Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience delivering services to the public
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and typing
  • Emotional resilience to help clients in distress or crisis
  • Ability to work independently and challenge external parties to enforce housing rights
