Position: Consultant Hepatologist 

Salary: £70,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time

Work location: Truro

Your Role Will Include:

  • Deliver the highest standards of care in Hepatology & Gastroenterology
  • Share responsibility for daily departmental management
  • Develop and lead subspecialty clinical interests
  • Teach and train medical students and postgraduate doctors
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, and continuing medical education
  • Attend departmental meetings and fulfill weekly timetable duties

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • GMC Specialist Register status or within 6 months of CCT (or equivalent)
  • MRCP qualification
  • Proven experience in Hepatology and Gastroenterology
  • Teaching experience with students, peers, and MDTs
  • Strong communication, IT, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English (IELTS level 7.5)
  • Willingness to live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duties

Desirable:

  • Higher degree (MD or PhD)
  • Train-the-trainer qualification
  • Management training
