Position: Staff Nurse (PICU)

Salary: £37,259 – £45,356 per annum

Job Type: Permanent | Full-time | Part-time

Work location: London

Your Role Will Include:

  • Deliver the highest standard of nursing care to critically ill children and young people
  • Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate individualised care programmes
  • Support and supervise junior staff where appropriate
  • Advocate for children, young people, and their families
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information compassionately and clearly
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and family-centred care environment
  • Begin discharge planning from admission in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • NMC-registered Child Nurse with at least 12 months post-registration experience OR NMC-registered Adult Nurse with 12 months ICU or Emergency Department experience
  • Internationally Educated Nurses must hold an active NMC PIN
  • Experience caring for acutely or chronically unwell children (or transferable specialist skills)
  • Strong communication, numeracy, and IT skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, organised, and professional approach to care
  • This role is not suitable for Newly Registered Nurses.
