Their Approach Social Work programme recruits and trains graduates to become highly skilled children’s social workers, combining practical experience, academic study, and ongoing professional development. Position: Trainee Social WorkerÂ
Salary: Up to £34,000
Job Type: Full-time, 3-year structured graduate programme (training + employment)
Work location: Multiple local authorities across England, including London, East Midlands, North West, South East, South West, West Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber, East of England

Your Role Will Include:
- Work with children, families, and local communities to ensure safety and wellbeing
- Conduct home visits, assessments, and reports
- Collaborate with teachers, health professionals, police, and carers
- Make professional decisions to support children’s development
- Balance academic study with practical social work experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) in any subject
- GCSE English Language (C/4 or above)
- Right to live, study, and work in the UK for the programme duration
- Strong commitment to helping children and families
- Resilience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- No previous social work experience required
- Encouragement for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds
