Position: Consultant Neurologist 

Salary: £109,725 – £145,478 per year

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Work location: Taunton, Somerset

Your Role Will Include:

  • Deliver high-quality general neurology services across Somerset
  • Develop and lead a subspecialty service in your area of expertise
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care across multiple hospital sites
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse MDT to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • CCT in Neurology (or within 6 months of completion at interview)
  • Ability to work independently as a general neurologist
  • Commitment to teamwork, patient care, and service development
  • Evidence of participation in clinical audit

Desirable:

  • Subspecialty expertise (epilepsy preferred)
  • Experience in teaching, research, and service development
  • Awareness of NHS governance, resource management, and committee work
