Job Overview

VortexIQ is seeking a high-velocity, results-driven Senior Sales Manager to spearhead our commercial growth. We are in a critical “traction” phase, having recently launched the world’s first AI Operating System for Ecommerce. This is not a “maintenance” role; we need a builder who is obsessed with AI and thrives in a high-accountability startup environment. You will be responsible for taking our product from launch to market leadership by securing consistent signups across our license tiers.

Location & Culture

We believe that the speed of AI innovation requires real-time, side-by-side collaboration. This is a 100% office-based role at our Brentford HQ. Working from home is not an option. To maintain our lead in the fast-moving AI sector, we prioritise real-time communication. Our commercial team starts at 8:30 AM, with a quick 10:00 AM daily briefing to the leadership team. This ensures every win is recognised and every hurdle is cleared before lunch.

  • Drive Revenue Traction: Execute aggressive sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly signup targets for Jan/Feb and beyond.
  • Pipeline Execution: Identify, prospect, and close high-value Ecommerce brands and agencies through cold outreach, networking, and platform demos.
  • Daily Visibility: Provide mandatory daily written updates by 10:00 AM, detailing previous day outputs, current day priorities, and pipeline blockers.
  • Strategic Alliances: Build and manage relationships with Ecommerce partners and agencies to drive recurring referral volume.
  • Market Intelligence: Act as a bridge between the market and our product team, ensuring our AI roadmap solves real-world Ecommerce pain points (conversion, automation, data reasoning).
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the full sales cycle from initial demo to final contract signature, ensuring high-value retention.

Skills & Experience

  • Startup Pedigree: Proven track record in B2B SaaS sales within a startup or scale-up environment. You know how to sell a new product without a massive brand behind you.
  • Ecommerce Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce ecosystems. You understand Ecommerce metrics (LTV, CAC, AOV).
  • AI Literacy: A genuine passion for Artificial Intelligence. You must be able to demonstrate a deep interest in how LLMs and AI Agents are transforming retail.
  • Grit & Discipline: A “hunter” mindset. You are self-motivated, organized, and view daily reporting as a tool for personal and company success.
  • Closing Ability: Strong negotiation skills with a focus on securing “clean” deals that align with company pricing tiers.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex AI solutions to non-technical Founders and CMOs.
