Hall Place Equestrian Centre is seeking an experienced Network Security Team Leader to oversee digital infrastructure as part of a major UK IT expansion.
Based in Reading (hybrid), this senior-level position focuses on designing, implementing, and leading secure telecom and IT infrastructure to support classrooms and equine-assisted learning centres serving students with special educational needs (SEN).
This is a mission-driven leadership role combining high-level telecom security expertise with meaningful social impact.

Your Role Will Include:
- Designing and implementing secure infrastructure using Fortinet (NSE 4/5), Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, and F5
- Leading telecom security planning for UK-wide IT expansion
- Protecting sensitive student data through encryption and advanced security protocols
- Overseeing network transmission and 24/7 security operations
- Managing teams using eTOM frameworks and structured HR principles
- Mentoring staff and streamlining workflows
- Ensuring technical tools are accessible for students with learning difficulties
- Automating safety alerts and monitoring systems using Python or similar technologies
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer & Information Systems (IT-related field)
Strong academic performance (Very Good – 82.7% or higher specified)
Advanced certifications: JNCIS-SEC, Fortinet NSE 4/5, or FCP/FCF
Hands-on experience with FortiGate, Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper SRX, and F5
Programming knowledge (Python, Oracle, or C++)
Proven leadership experience in telecom/security environments
Strong time management and communication skills
Ability to operate in high-pressure, mission-critical settings
