Position: Project Engineer (combined with Assistant Project Manager tasks)
Salary: £40,000 – £56,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Your Role Will Include:
- Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day delivery of project scope
- Act as the “engineering conscience,” ensuring intent, compliance, and constructability
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and commissioning interfaces
- Facilitate site-based problem solving and escalate technical or logistical issues
- Monitor site progress and verify completed works
- Support quality assurance processes, inspections, and NCR management
- Manage and coordinate technical queries (TQs/RFIs) with designers and contractors
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and project communications
- Support change control, planning, reporting, and governance activities
- Contribute to risk, change, and issue management processes
- Participate in readiness reviews, assurance activities, and hold-points
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- Experience in a project delivery environment within construction or regulated sectors
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Demonstrated site-based construction or installation experience
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, QA processes, and safety standards
- Strong communication, coordination, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Working toward or holding membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE)
Desirable:
- Experience in the nuclear industry
- Project Management qualifications (PFQ/PMQ or equivalent)
- Experience supporting Project or Package Managers
- Awareness of project controls (cost, schedule, risk)
