Salary: £12.75 – £13.34 an hour

Job Type: Full-time 

Work location: Southampton, UK

Your Role Will Include:

‎As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

  • ‎Take day-to-day responsibility for running a care unit
  • ‎Lead, inspire, and manage a team of Care Assistants
  • ‎Administer medication and maintain accurate care records
  • ‎Review and update care plans
  • ‎Lead shift handovers and ensure high standards of care
  • ‎Support and train new team members
  • ‎Build strong relationships with residents, families, GPs, and district nurses
  • ‎Assist residents with personal care while promoting dignity and independence

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (completed or in progress – support provided)
  • ‎Previous experience in a senior or clinical care role
  • ‎Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • ‎A positive, motivated, and team-focused attitude
  • ‎Good understanding of CQC standards
  • ‎A genuine passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care
