Your Role Will Include:
As a Courier Operations & Driver Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our courier services. Your role will include:
- ‎Booking and managing courier jobs via platforms such as Courier Exchange (CX), return loads, and other freight marketplaces
- ‎Negotiating rates and securing profitable work
- ‎Allocating jobs to drivers and managing daily workloads
- ‎Monitoring driver attendance, working hours, start and finish times
- ‎Planning driver rotas, availability, and shift schedules
- ‎Coordinating vehicle maintenance, including servicing, MOTs, road tax, and insurance
- ‎Ensuring all vehicles are compliant, roadworthy, and operationally ready
- ‎Acting as the main point of contact between drivers and customers
- ‎Monitoring live jobs, managing delays, and resolving operational issues
- ‎Maintaining accurate records for jobs, PODs, driver hours, and vehicle documentation
- ‎Supporting the business with ad-hoc operational and administrative tasks when required
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- ‎Proven experience in courier, transport, or logistics operations
- ‎Hands-on experience using Courier Exchange (CX) or similar platforms
- ‎Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- ‎Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- ‎Confidence managing drivers in a high-pressure environment
- ‎IT-literate with experience using email and online systems
- ‎Willingness to work on-site from our London offices
‎Desirable:
- ‎Knowledge of UK driver hours and transport compliance
- ‎Experience managing fleet or vehicle maintenance schedules
- ‎Background in same-day or time-critical courier operations
- ‎Experience working with owner-drivers and company-owned vehicles
