Salary: £13.93 an hour

Your Role Will Include:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • ‎Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
  • ‎Ensure care plans are followed, reviewed, and updated
  • ‎Administer and accurately record medication
  • ‎Support service users with daily living, community access, appointments, and independence
  • ‎Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
  • ‎Complete daily records, incident reports, and documentation accurately
  • ‎Support individuals with personal finances and family/professional relationships
  • ‎Uphold safeguarding policies and escalate concerns appropriately

‎Leadership Responsibilities

  • ‎Mentor and guide Support Workers
  • ‎Oversee documentation and ensure compliance
  • ‎Support supervisions and performance reviews
  • ‎Lead shifts and allocate responsibilities effectively
  • ‎Conduct daily audits and ensure regulatory standards are met
  • ‎Act as a first point of contact for guidance and escalation
  • ‎Support staff inductions, including agency colleagues
  • ‎Participate in the senior on-call rota

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • ‎Proven experience leading a team in a care setting
  • ‎Strong background in health and social care
  • ‎Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • ‎Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • ‎Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and safeguarding
  • ‎Flexibility, including participation in an on-call rota

‎Preferable:

  • ‎Health and Social Care qualification
  • ‎Valid driving licence
  • ‎Previous Senior Support Worker experience
  • ‎Experience working with external professionals
  • ‎Experience in complex or challenging care environments
