Your Role Will Include:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
- ‎Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
- ‎Ensure care plans are followed, reviewed, and updated
- ‎Administer and accurately record medication
- ‎Support service users with daily living, community access, appointments, and independence
- ‎Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- ‎Complete daily records, incident reports, and documentation accurately
- ‎Support individuals with personal finances and family/professional relationships
- ‎Uphold safeguarding policies and escalate concerns appropriately
‎Leadership Responsibilities
- ‎Mentor and guide Support Workers
- ‎Oversee documentation and ensure compliance
- ‎Support supervisions and performance reviews
- ‎Lead shifts and allocate responsibilities effectively
- ‎Conduct daily audits and ensure regulatory standards are met
- ‎Act as a first point of contact for guidance and escalation
- ‎Support staff inductions, including agency colleagues
- ‎Participate in the senior on-call rota
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- ‎Proven experience leading a team in a care setting
- ‎Strong background in health and social care
- ‎Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- ‎Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
- ‎Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and safeguarding
- ‎Flexibility, including participation in an on-call rota
‎Preferable:
- ‎Health and Social Care qualification
- ‎Valid driving licence
- ‎Previous Senior Support Worker experience
- ‎Experience working with external professionals
- ‎Experience in complex or challenging care environments
