Position: Virtual Teacher and Support Officer

Salary: £32,916 – £47,472 a year

Your Role Will Include:

As a Virtual Teacher and Technical Support Officer, you will:

• ‎Deliver engaging, high-quality online lessons (live and asynchronous)
• ‎Differentiate learning for SEND, SEMH, and neurodiverse students
• ‎Provide feedback, assessment, and progress tracking
• ‎Support student wellbeing through coaching, mentoring, and regular check-ins
• ‎Assist with daily operations, safeguarding, timetabling, and student coordination
• ‎Provide technical and operational support to the Virtual School Lead
• ‎Support student referrals, induction, and personalised timetabling
• ‎Maintain accurate records, data tracking, and reports
• ‎Work closely with families, schools, and external agencies
• ‎Uphold safeguarding, professional standards, and inclusive practice

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• ‎Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• ‎Degree or equivalent with evidence of CPD
• ‎Strong subject and curriculum knowledge
• ‎Proven ability to engage and inspire hard-to-reach learners
• ‎Excellent behaviour management and safeguarding awareness
• ‎Strong ICT skills and confidence delivering online learning
• ‎Ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and agencies
• ‎Empathy, resilience, flexibility, and strong organisational skills

‎Desirable:

• ‎Experience with SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and SLCN
• ‎Knowledge of alternative provision and special education
• ‎Behaviour management and mental health training
• ‎Understanding of OFSTED frameworks
• ‎Experience working within the wider community
