Your Role Will Include:

As an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer, you will:

  • ‎Provide technical guidance and support to EMC Engineers across projects
  • ‎Review, challenge, and assure designs against TfL, UK, and international EMC standards
  • ‎Engage with suppliers and stakeholders to define and manage EMC requirements
  • ‎Identify, assess, and mitigate EMC risks across the asset lifecycle
  • ‎Produce and review EMC assurance documentation and technical files
  • ‎Support innovation, best practice adoption, and continuous improvement
  • ‎Represent TfL’s technical interests with external partners and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in an EMC or EMC-related role (essential)
  • ‎Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (essential)
  • ‎Strong experience producing EMC Assurance documentation and conducting EMC design reviews (essential)
  • ‎Solid understanding of UK EMC legislation and standards (essential)
  • ‎Ability to capture EMC requirements and develop scopes of work for projects of varying scale (essential)
  • ‎Experience with EMC modelling, simulation, and testing (desirable)
  • ‎Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • ‎A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability
