Position: Laundry Assistant

Salary: £12.73 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Work location: Crowthorne, England

Your Role Will Include:

  • Sort and identify laundry for correct washing loads
  • ‎Maintain laundry equipment and perform daily dryer de-fluffing‎
  • ‎Separate and clean soiled/infectious linen correctly
  • ‎Distribute clean clothing to residents’ rooms
  • ‎Ensure correct labelling and marking of clothing
  • ‎Keep laundry and storage areas clean, tidy, and hygienic‎
  • ‎Report faults to senior staff as needed

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards in care settings
  • ‎Ability to work independently
  • ‎Basic documentation and labelling skills
  • ‎Knowledge of COSHH (desirable)
  • ‎Experience working in a care home or domestic role (desirable)
